Strength for Endurance – 5min Warm-up

Strength for Endurance – 5min Warm-up

The importance of strength training for endurance athletes, it’s a topic that has been discussed more than once. However, as a triathlete and personal trainer, I learned that it’s hard for non-professional endurance athletes to incorporate regular strength work outs into their training schedules. This is why I am focusing on a series of strength sessions to help beginning triathletes start with simple strength exercises. This video is part 1 as it’s the warm-up for my online class on Tuesday June 16.

The exercises you can see in the video are the following:

1. jumping jacks (30 seconds)

2. jogging on the spot (30 seconds)

3. ice skaters (30 seconds)

4. jogging on the spot (30 seconds)

5. mountain climbers (30 seconds)

6. jogging on the spot (30 seconds)

7. butt kicks (30 seconds)

8. jogging on the spot (30 seconds)

9. squat punches (30 seconds)

Happy Training!
